Natural Growth Wildness

Naturally grown, unpruned ancient tree red tea lacks bud heads and may have some red leaves, also known as “red storage” or “red shell.” The leaves are complete, their form untamed, highlighting their wild nature.

Honey-sweet, Mellow, with Wild Floral Aroma

The clear, transparent tea soup, like clear honey, has a high concentration of floral and fruity aromas. Adding water releases an aroma that amazes all around, and a closer sniff at the bottom of the cup reveals an enchanting fragrance, intoxicating one with its wild mountain essence, sweet and smooth, with a distinct fruity fragrance that lingers long.

A Pool of Clear Honey in a Flower Pond

The enchanting fragrance is unrestrainedly wild, originating from the deep mountains, with a wild and unyielding charm and a long ancient rhythm. It is a pool of clear honey in a flower pond, far removed from the mundane world, hidden deep in the mountains. If one is tired of the genteel and elegant red teas, why not try the ancient tree red tea?

Versatile Brewing Methods

Brewing tea with gaiwan (Chinese tea cup), thermo or teapot

  • The first brew should be discarded to cleanse and awaken the teapot;
    Can be brewed in a gaiwan (Chinese lidded tea bowl) or a thermos with boiling water;
    (The first infusion should be around 10-20 seconds, allowing the tea leaves to fully soak and open, start drinking from the second brew)
  • Spring water is recommended for brewing, with a water temperature of 80-90 degrees Celsius;
  • Pour boiling water and wait 5-8 seconds before serving the tea, with each subsequent infusion, the serving time gradually increases;
  • No need to pry the tea, brewing is simple, and it is convenient to carry.

The tea maintains its softness even after long brews, rich in substances, steadily releasing, and after 15 brews, a heavy steep results in tailwater sweet as cane sugar, with lingering sweet notes.

The ‘Peak Red’ of Dianhong

Fengqing, located in the southwestern part of Yunnan, is known as the hometown of Dianhong tea and a station along the ancient Tea Horse Road. As the birthplace of Dianhong, Fengqing enjoys a mild climate, ample sunlight, diverse vegetation, and a rich ecological environment. This results in the ancient large-leaf trees in the region being rich in substances. The tea gardens are free from artificial interventions and management, and there are no pesticides or fertilizers used.
